Ok so I am sure you have heard one like this before. It goes like this, I was playing cash game limit hold em poker here at one of the card rooms in Minnesota. So I enter a hand with a raise on a AQ off suit. I ended up with five players calling to the flop. The flop comes K spades, J clubs, 4 hearts. So everybody checks to me so I bet and I figure somebody caught a K. This turned to be true when one guy raises me so I call. All of a sudden the guy next to me calls. Here comes the turn, bingo! a 10 of hearts. So I check and the next guy checks then the guy who raised me after the flop bets so I check raise then the guy next to me calls and I get re-raised so I re-raise and the guy next to me calls and the guy who re-raised in the first place folds so I re-raise again and he capped the bet. Ok so I am thinking what is he on 2 pair or somehow he’s got a straight as well so the river comes and its a 9 of hearts so right then I am thinking ok I have the best hand the way the betting was going so we hit the showdown and he re-raises me all-in for the rest of my chips and wouldn’t you know he turns over a Q-7 of hearts and that was the biggest beat I think I ever had. Turned out I lost well over a hundred bucks on that hand and it ruined my night out. So there it is.
